Meet Dalissa Mcewen!

bucks and surrounding counties family ambassador

Hello Learning Coaches,
It is my honor to help you help your student(s) achieve success! Education is a collaborative process, especially here at PALCS. You may be asking yourself, "What is a Family Ambassador?" Well, it is my job to provide you with support and to foster community among families in Region 1. Whether you need help finding resources, want to share about a recent success or challenge, or just want to chat, I am here to help you. As a previous homeschooling and PALCS parent, I have innate knowledge of what it takes to school a child at home and I'd love to come along side you to support your family's personal journey.

PALCS provides you with many different ways to connect and collaborate.

Have a quick question? Text me at 484-800-5279 or submit a question online through the "Ask a Question" form.

Have a more lengthy question, need support or encouragement? Schedule a one-on-one parent support meeting with me. (Click on a blue circle below to schedule an appointment)

You can also join Family Support & Engagement Specialist, Chenell Wright, in the Learning Coaches' Lounge on Tuesdays from 11 am to 12 pm to pop in as needed for questions and support.

Thank you!
Dalissa McEwen

About me:

I am married to my college sweetheart. We have five adult children, one very sweet granddaughter who is my personal hiking partner, and two lovable dogs... a 14 year old Yorkipoo named Tsuki and a 3 month old Corgi puppy named Lady Cinnabon. I have a Bachelor's of Fine Arts from Tyler School of Art- Temple University, and TESOL certification. My career has mainly focused on creating community, whether that be in person via the large homeschooling co-op I founded or via global social media management for a Chinese English Curriculum company connecting and supporting tutors around the world. I am a lifelong learner with a great interest in art, medicine and education. I love to create, whether it be oil painting, ceramics or writing. I also love taking the path less traveled, or rather, hiking among cacti, large rocks and petroglyphs.
