Public Notice of Parent and Eligible Student Rights (FERPA)

 

 

 

Under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (20 U.S.C. § 1232g),

parents and students who are at least 18 years of age have the right to review

and inspect all school records pertaining to the student.

 

School records are not open to the public. Only the following people have access to student records:

(1) school personnel working with the student

(2) parents

(3) student

(4) anyone showing the proper Release of Information
